Wallace Chung
Wallace is a Hong Kong actor and recording artist. He is best-known for his roles in television as Yu Ji Yang in King of Shanghai, which earned him Shanghai TV Festival Award for Best Actor nomination and Chinese Music Awards for Best Television Drama Actor nomination, as Gu Xizhao in Treacherous Waters, as Murong Feng in Endless Love.
His latest album “All Eyes On Me” was produced by his own music studio and published in September 2010. His outstanding performance brought him the Best Male Artist interpretation stage at Beijing Pop Music Award 2010.
I like Wallace because he is good-looking. Of course, I guess this is the primary requirement for being an actor. However, what really attracted me is not his pretty face but his personalities.
He is true and honest. “I hope all of you are … well” that is a wish that he gave to all his fans at a TV interview. There was no beautiful words not even a long wish, but he said it from his deep heart. He said it and he meant it. That makes us moved. As an actor, he doesn’t have much news. That is because he wouldn’t use his personal affairs to make news in order to draw the public attention. He would rather being himself and work hard so that he could present more good TV shows to people who love him as a return.
He is optimistic and believes in himself. “I believe I am gifted, so I don’t want to give up…” He was very famous as a singer 16 years ago and all the sudden he disappeared from the stage. Later on it was discovered that it was due to some contract complications and he had been through some tough times. However, he didn’t complain anything or anyone. He shifted his career to being an actor. And that didn’t stop him from pursuing his singing career either. 6 years after his last album was published, he set up his own recording studio and accomplished the first album “All Eyes On Me”. And the album went surprisingly well.
