UI has been updated a bit. You can see the familiar bottom bar in the screenshot. The bottom bar is another widget so you can turn it off if you want. The 3 stats at the left of the bar indicate exp, exp for influence and exp for knowledge. Filling exp bar earns you a platinum coin, influence bar for influence and knowledge bar for...well, knowledge :p Those are currently 3 major currencies in the game(other than gold coins and small medals). You can research techs with knowledge and recruit people with influence and do other things eventually.
更新了一下UI,现在你可以在下图的底部看见熟悉的属性栏了。属性栏是一种组件,所以如果你不需要的话可以将它关闭。在属性栏的左侧有三个值,分别表示经验值、名望经验值和知识经验值。当你获取足够的经验值时,你会获得白金币;当你获得足够的名望经验时,你会更有影响力;当你获得足够知识经验值时,你会获得更多知识。现在这是游戏中的三种主要资源(也有其他资源比如金币和小奖章)。有了知识后你可以研究新的技术,有了名望后你可以招募群众( * 这一点竟然没有成为废案,看来NOA初期的设想还是有达成的...)。知识和名望也许还有其他用途。

    Reworked inventory and ability systems. The inventory and crafting systems are now similar to Wayward which is my favorite game. The old inventory system was much like elona's and you can actually toggle between the two inventory modes via config though the old one will be likely removed after a while.
    重做了库存和能力系统。现在库存与制作系统和我喜爱的游戏 Wayward 类似,而老的库存系统则更像Elona。事实上,你可以通过修改配置文件来切换这两种显示模式,尽管旧的模式可能会在一段时间之后被移除。

        Noa在今天上传了游戏的第二个Demo,可喜可贺,下载链接在下文。
        在写这篇之前我打开体验了五分钟,看了看设置以及UI设计之类。让我评价的话,和第一个Demo对比起来,这个Demo是非常非常非常惊艳的,之后我也会玩一玩试试。
        BTW,斜45度角的roguelike我确实没怎么玩过,刚才试了试用方向键来操控略显蹩脚,可能还是得用鼠标来主控。

        I've uploaded a demo, or rather just a dev build. If you want to actually have fun playing, it's probably better for you to wait at least until it becomes beta as playing alpha version somewhat spoils your game experience. I sincerely welcome your feedbacks and suggestions if you bother to try :) Now that the game is starting to take shape, I'm hoping to regularly update/upload dev builds from now on if I can.

          I haven't been able to resume the development for the last 2 weeks due to the tech harassment thingy. One thing I'm worried about is that my PC and other wifi devices in my home are acting strangely lately which is a major distraction for a solo developer as there's no sure way of backing up the project and the source code. (Currently I'm saving them to a SD card) Sorry guys, I'll try to think some way to continue the development soon.

              Hello folks. It's been a while and no screenshot today, sorry.
              As you can imagine, I've been having difficulty adopting myself to the new rather depressing life since the electronic harassment started about half a year ago. You've witnessed me struggle many times and I thank you for your patience with me. The harassment is still going on but I'll try my best to ignore it from now on and keep developing Elin. Wish me luck :)
              I've opened my personal blog few days ago. It's written in Japanese but you can find it here if you are interested.
              I have to also mention that Elona Mobile has been officially released last month. While I am not involved in the development I'm touched to see the game finally made it as it was almost five years ago when one of the devs contacted me. Congrats!
              大家好,离上次更新已经有一段时间了,同时这次依旧没有带来截图,抱歉。
              你们可以想象,自从大约半年前开始的电子骚扰以来,我一直难以适应这种抑郁的新生活。你们已经多次见到我深受折磨的样子,很感谢你们能够有如此的耐心。尽管现在对我的骚扰仍在持续,但从现在起我会尽可能忽视它,并坚持开发Elin。祝我好运吧: )

                这周在家园建设方面有一个很大的改动。当你建立一个新的家园/部落时,你可以选择一个你家园的守护神(绝大部分来自Elona),它会一直见证着你家园的发展。守护神类似一种专属于一个家园的故事讲述者,像RimWorld中的一样,但会拥有更加独特的个性。神明会给予你一些考验,比如流行疾病/入侵,但同时也会随心情给予你一些奖赏。城镇中的居民可以通过献祭,或者通过做一些能够取悦神明的事情来获得信仰点数,你的家园也会随着信仰等级的提升而获益。
                设计每种不同神明的事件和考验相当有趣。如果一个城镇的信仰是玛尼,那么居民们的身体部件会随着时间不断地被替换成机械零件;当库米罗尼心情不好时,城里的植物可能会开始疯狂生长;信仰朱亚的城镇可能会定期受到狂信者的来访,他们或许能带动旅游业的发展,但同时也可能捕杀异教徒,从而招致灾难。
                除此之外还加入了:
                - 一个轮盘样式的菜单,用于选择守护神(第一张截图,很棒 :p)
                - 加入了许多工作台和工厂(第二张图,谢谢NZ的工作)
                - 重做了家园事件记录的UI,新的UI现在会显示居民的动作- 来自于空中的补给/奖赏


                这一次点名表扬Noa,不仅带来了两张截图,而且这个将神明作为类似环世界中Storyteller的设计太惊艳了。考虑到Elona本体的神明数量,这个系统的可玩性可能非常高...不同的神明会带来不同的独特的事件,不同的事件同时也进一步塑造了不同神明性格之间的差异......好期待!

                  It's June and I'm almost back in shape. While the project is still a bit behind schedule, I'm starting to enjoy making Elin again. I hope this continues, oh and thanks always for giving this post awards!
                  * You can assign any of your resident as your maid now. Also added some functions to maid such as expanding the size of your home land.
                  * Made several items like research board, policy book, map board and etc which can be used to access home's various functions.
                  * Added main jobs and hobbies to characters. Residents do their jobs in their work hours and enjoy hobbies in their free time. They will report their work results and deliver goods to your home periodically.
                  * Residents can be assigned to workplaces and private rooms now. Added areas like jail, lounge, public bath, garbage dump etc.
                  * Many other improvements and changes to the home developing feature :)
                  已经六月了,现在我的状态不错。即使项目进度还是稍许落后,但我又开始享受开发Elin的过程了。我希望这一切会持续下去,哦,也谢谢你们的奖赏!
                  * 你现在可以指派任何居民成为你的女仆,另外我也为女仆加了一些新的能力,比如她们能够扩张你的土地。

                  * 以及其他许多有关家园发展的新特性。

                    June is almost over and this is the last update for this month. The development has been going well and there have been some big changes to the gameplay again. I've thought about introducing them but it could be a spoiler and I realize writing all the small changes here is kind of pointless until you can actually play the game. So from now on I'll just give you a brief highlight of the development progress and some topics/episodes I thought I'd share.
                    And here are PCC sprites of Gods made by NZ. PCCs from Elona can be still imported but since some Gods are larger than human PCC and they all have nice wings to show, the image size of God PCCs is much larger(256x384) than default PCC.
                    六月快结束了,这将是本月的最后一次更新。开发工作进展顺利,游戏玩法方面又有许多很大的改动。我觉得和你们介绍这些改动可能涉及到一些剧透,同时我认为在这里罗列这些小改动不如你们最后亲自上手体验。所以从现在起我只会写一些关于开发进度的重点内容以及一些我认为可以分享的小话题。
                    下面是一些NZ做的关于一些神明的PCC精灵图,Elona中的PCC依然可以导入到Elin中,不过一些神会拥有更大的PCC图,以便展示他们的翅膀。神明的PCC图尺寸会比普通的PCC大很多(256x384)

                        Well, it seems no demo is going to come out this month. I guess you guys know by now that I'm not particularly good at keeping my word. But the development is going steadily and a new demo will come out sooner or later so I hope you'll forgive me for now. And here's a new screenshot with a big wagon!

                          Last month, I was invited by Elvenspirit, who is helping me develop Elin, to play some games like Muck, Valheim and Terraria on Steam. His intention was to get inspiration from these games, but since we are both heavy gamers, we ended up playing them as usual.
                          It's been a while since I've played Terraria. The inventory and construction systems are quite similar to Elin's to my surprise, and I found a lot more useful ideas than I expected. The terraria's UI is simple but well thought out and easy to use which is also something I could learn.
                          As I was able to refresh myself, I made a lot of progress on the development side, improving the existing inventory and adding new quests in the beginning. I'll try to post a gameplay video sometime soon that doesn't spoil the main story.
                          (Actually, I have a vid posted about a month ago. The link(my tweet) is here.)
                          上个月,我收到协助我开发Elin的朋友Elvenspirit的邀请,去玩了一些Steam上的游戏,例如Muck,Valheim 以及Terraria。本来我们是希望从这些游戏中获得灵感的,但由于我们都是重度的游戏玩家,最终我们只是抱着日常打游戏的心态去玩。
                          我玩Terraria已经有一段时间了,出乎我意料的是,它的装备系统和建造系统都与Elin类似。我从中又得到很多很好的点子。另外一件我学到的事情就是,Terraria的UI简洁却又易上手,非常利于使用。
                          自从我能够让自己振作起来之后,我在开发方面又做出了许多成果,包括提升原有的装备系统,以及为游戏开端添加了新的任务。之后我会尽可能在不剧透的情况下放出更多gameplay相关的视频。
                          (事实上,一个月前我已经在推特上发过视频了!)

                            I've been experimenting with the inventory system since yesterday. I've added background images (the ones in the screenshot are placeholders) to the existing grid inventory and it made me want to try the UO-style inventory system. So here it is! (the right-most screen in the screenshot).
                            There are some inconveniences with the UO-style inventory, such as the cumbersome way of organizing items and the difficulty of clicking on small items, but I like the feeling of actually using a backpack and the freedom of not being bound by the grids. It's also an unique system that you don't see in many other games. Players will definitely have different likes and dislikes for the UO-style inventory though.
                            I'd like to use the two systems together for a while to see how they compare.
                            从昨天到现在我一直在尝试各种背包系统的点子。我为现有的网格类背包加入了背景图片,同时我也试了试UO(网络创世纪?)风格的背包系统,下面那些截图就是了!
                            UO风格的背包有许多不便之处,比方说在整理物品时很困难,同时你很难选到那些很小的物品。但我喜欢这种不被网格约束的,仿佛真的在使用背包一样的感觉。同时这也是一个你在其他游戏中不太能见得到的独特系统。当然我认为玩家对UO风格的背包系统的评价肯定是两极分化的。
                            我打算同时使用这两种背包系统一段时间,来对比一下感受。

                              I'm sorry to report that I've been unable to work on Elin for the last few weeks due to the electronic harassment(aka. cyber torture or Havana syndrome by broad interpretation). It has been almost a year since it started. You might think it's a psychological stuff but it has nothing to do with my mental or stress level. During an intense attack which sometimes occurs several times a day, my body temperature goes up about 3C and my pc is also interfered(keyboard, mouse and internet jammed etc) preventing me from working.
                              Anyway, the game is almost ready for steam early access. So I hope to be able to finish the game and deal with the problem later.And meanwhile, I've stitched together some of the portrait sketches NZ has created for Elin and here's the screenshot. In Elona, I had to use free-to-use portraits from the famous FSM(first seed material) website but this time NZ and I have made lots of discussions to create portraits that match characters' personalities/images. It's not exactly something to boast about as most games do this work, though we have very limited resources from the start so I thought it's worth putting on the news :)
                              很抱歉告知你们,由于电子骚扰再次袭来,我这几周以来都无法进行Elin的工作。从受到电子骚扰到现在已经有快一年了,你们可能会觉得这是我精神方面的一些问题,但事实上这种骚扰与我的精神压力一点关系都没有(*真的吗?)。再一次持续大约几天的电子攻击中,我的体温会上升大约三度,同时我的电脑也会受到影响(键盘,鼠标和网络都被搞烂了),这使得我无法继续工作。
                              无论如何,这个游戏已经快准备上Steam EA了,所以我希望能够先完成游戏再去解决我个人的问题。同时,我拼了一些NZ为Elin做的一些角色人设草图,下面就是截图。在Elona中,我通过FSM(first seed material)网站来获取一些免费使用的肖像图素材。但这次,NZ和我讨论了许多,来尽可能制作了能够与角色人设以及全身图匹配的人设图。这并不是一件值得夸耀的事情,因为事实上绝大多数游戏都是这么干的。但考虑到从一开始我们的资源就十分有限,我认为这还是一个值得一提的新闻:)
