It's been a while! For the past few weeks, I've been working on maps of the Mysilia region, one of the main areas where your adventures take place in Elin. Mysilia is located south of Yowyn between North Tyris and South Tyris. The area includes the village of Orvina(with its cherry blossoms, hot springs, and vineyards), the capital of Mysilia, and a fortress with a distinctive willow trees that people fondly call "Willow" (I won't reveal the official name of the keep here as it will be a spoiler). If you are interested in these maps, I've uploaded some screenshots on Elona Discord Server.
I'd like to lightly introduce the historical setting of Elin. Elin begins about 30 years before the start of Elona's story. The main adventures take place in the aforesaid Mysilia and the familiar(to Elona players) North Tyris region. Elin's global map covers all of North Tyris including Mayroon, South Tyris, and Zanan, so I hope to add more maps to these regions in the future.
Mysilia is a country that has been built by Elea and humans hand in hand since ancient times. The "Willow" ruled by two Elea, who came from a strange forest(Vindale) over a hundred years ago, has been widely known as a symbol of friendship and coexistence between the two races. However, the war with the desert empire that ended 20 years ago, in which the Elea of Vindale forest ignored human requests for aid, has created a rift between the two races, and the position of Eleas/Vindale has become difficult in Mysilia as well.
The story of Elin begins in the year 484 of the Sierre Terre, when the Empire, having regained its power from the previous war, has organized a fleet of Cylan airships, and the first signs of war are once again approaching Tyris. The relationship between humans and Elea, the respective agendas of the Tyris Federation, the Empire, and the Forest of Vindale, and how these war-torn nations and characters connect to the story of Elona will be the focus of Elin's story.
Well, the setting and plot of the scenario are mostly complete but I'm still in the process of adding dialogue and in-game events :p While the storyline for Elona was an afterthought, this time the game already has the framework for the storyline, so the main quest should be also closely intertwined with the storyline..
久しぶりの進捗報告になります。ここ数週間はエリンの冒険のメインエリアの一つでもあるミシリア地方のマップを作成していました。ミシリアはヨウィンの南、ノースティリスとサウスティリスの間に位置する地方で、桜と温泉とぶどう畑の村「オルヴィナ」、ミシリアの首都「ミシリア」、柳の木が特徴的で人々から「ウィロウ」と呼び親しまれる砦（正式名称はネタバレになるので伏せておきます）などがあります。Discordの方に開発中のスクショをうｐしてあるので、興味のある方はごらんください。
今回は軽くエリンの時代設定を紹介したいと思います。エリンが始まるのはエロナの開始時点の約30年前、主な冒険の舞台は前述のミシリアと、エロナでお馴染みのノースティリス地方になります。一応グローバルマップはメイルーンを含むノースティリス全域+サウスティリス+ザナンまでカバーしているので、これらの地域もおいおいマップを追加していければと思っています。
ミシリアは古くからエレアと人間が手を取り合い築いてきた国です。百年以上も昔に異形の森からやってきた二人のエレアが統治する「ウィロウ」は、二種族間の友好と共存の象徴として広く知られてきました。しかし、二十年前に終結した砂漠の帝国との戦争で、異形の森のエレアが人間からの援助の要請を無視したことにより、二種族の間には亀裂が生じ、ミシリアでもエレアの立場は苦しくなっています。
エリンの物語が始まるのはシエラ・テール歴484年、先の大戦から力を回復した帝国が、サイラの飛空艇からなる艦隊を編成し、戦火の兆しが再びティリスに迫ろうとしています。人間とエレアの関係、ティリス連盟と帝国、異形の森のそれぞれの思惑、そしてこの戦禍にのまれた国々や登場人物がどのようにエロナのストーリーへと繋がっていくのかが、エリンの物語の焦点になります。
と、シナリオの設定やプロットは大まかにできあがっているのですが、台詞やゲーム内のイベントを追加するのはまだこれから、といったところです（笑）ただ、エロナの時はストーリーは後付でしたが、今回はストーリーの骨組みがすでにあるため、メインクエストの方もストーリーと密に絡ませていければと思っています。
