我这里其实也有个errata，绝大部分都提交给精装版了，不出意外应该会在精装版里修正。挑几个比较重要的：
卷三第七章“海尔姆深谷”：“Still some miles away, on the far side of the Westfold Vale, lay a green coomb, a great bay in the mountains, out of which a gorge opened in the hills.”这里应该是“几哩开外，在西伏尔德山谷的远侧，群山中有一处如同大湾的青翠宽谷，从这宽谷又延伸出一条狭窄的裂谷，楔入山岭中。”
附录：
516页， 2800-2864条目 应为“沃尔达王被他们杀害（2851年）”
605页注释1里的“诸多精灵”是排版错误，应该是“诺多精灵”
606页倒数第2段第3行 “猎物” 应该是“游戏”
地图里的南河弯北河弯应该是南河套北河套
这贴里指出的问题我已经都记下了，会积攒起来一起提交给出版社。

因为月亮周期是29.5天，按30天去推会有积累误差，所以最准的办法还是用托尔金的老办法，把1942年的月相加6天（1月）、7天（2月）、5天（3月）……

楼主的贴搞得我也有动力读读了。正好喷泉大出现了，也容我借地发一下。
附录五：
CH ... Except at the end of words and before t this sound
was weakened to H in the speech of Gondor
这句的 except 确实似有歧义。
文景：“例外情况：在词尾以及在 t 前，该音在刚铎语中弱化为 h”
应译作：“除在词尾和 t 前，……”——换句话说辛达语的刚铎话里 ch 后面跟着元音的话就会弱化成 h。
理由是下文列举的体现了这一弱化的词中——Rohan, Rohirrim ——的 h 既不在词尾也不在 t 前。
back or uvular r
文景：“后鼻音或小舌音的 r”
“后鼻音”这个术语有点迷惑，我脑海里这词是特指汉语 ng 及其变体的——舌位都靠后，但不是“鼻音”。
小舌颤音需要舌后部抬起，气流通过舌根与小舌的间隙，使小舌颤动。这里的 back 也就可能指口腔后部，或指舌后部。我也没想好怎么译。
V has the sound of English v, but is not used finally. See F.
文景：“发英语 v 的音，但最终没有采用。见 F”
应为：“发英语 v 的音，但不用于词尾。见 F”——参考 F 条解释可以看到，F 在词尾代表 [v]。例 nef aear, si nef aearon.
ng remained unchanged except initially and finally where it became the simple nasal
文景：“ng 没有改变，只有一种情况例外：位于词尾时它变为简单的鼻音（如英语词 sing）”
initially 指“词首”，词首和词尾都都是例外。
each with an independent value of its own
文景：“每个都有独立的含义”
字母的 value 译作“含义”不妥，一般是叫“音值”，而且下文又译作“读音”了。

满月后8天的月相，一半或略缺都可以。因为月相周期是29.53天，跟一天长度不是整数倍关系。例如下图是今年满月后8天的月相，1、3月是残月，9、10月则是下弦月。9月甚至能看出一点外凸。
同样，满月不一定是十五。所以按年历算才是最准的，毕竟，托尔金当年也用年历算过

真要跟年历,可以用这个

For lv, not for lw, many speakers, especially Elves, used lb
现译：“这是因为，许多人特别是精灵，用 lb 来代替 lv，而不是 lw”
应为：“许多人，特别是精灵，用 lb 来表示 lv，但不用于 lw”。
这句和前文没有因果关系，for 只能是接 used。
The single dot and the 'acute accent'
现译：“单独的一个点和“重音符””
前文描述元音的段落已经把 acute accent 译作“锐音符”了。

现译：“但是只有弧常常这样写[加倍的 tehta]，有时加上‘重音符’”
译文似乎有时则加“重音符”表示长音。这里表示的是，通过加倍/双写 tehta 来表示长音的这一做法，常常用于表 u/o 的弧，有时也用于表 e/i 的“accute accent”。

现译：但当这个音变为词首送气的 h 时（尽管仍然位于词中间）

这两句话其实是一个意思，第一处当改为“根和枝在上”。据《中洲历史》，初稿中这两处均写作Crack my timbers。有人读预览版时指出了问题，才作修改。后文有一句root and branch译成了“从根到枝”，似乎也应理解为“根和枝在上”为宜。跟吉姆利说Hammer and tongs一个道理。

发现好几个文景版严重误译的地方朱版倒是对的比如blade没译成草叶，帕蓝提尔的光熄灭，离月圆还有三天，米那斯魔古尔的旋转灯塔
以后精校时可以考虑通读一遍老译林版或朱版作参考啊，这样或许能发现一些以前漏掉的问题，毕竟英文理解可能已经形成思维定势了

还有相同数量的同样是不对的地方。参考只能发现不一致并raise the alarm，不能消灭所有问题。但看一遍也需要时间，还有很多false alarm（老译林版尤其是那个没放出来的附录...）...只能说愿望是美好的。
事实上如果多遍仔细审校是能解决绝大部分问题的，并且确实已经解决不少问题了，剩下的这些灯下黑——思维没有弯过来的地方，只能等待被碰上并解决（所以很感谢任何发现有误的人！！）。个人的期望是0错误，但这目前可能还不现实，尤其是尚未接受多次系统地审校。正常图书容错率是万分之一，现在也就是基本达标，努力靠译校以及靠其他读者一遍遍读发现问题，然后修改。好在出版社是个接受一遍遍改的.....
讲真，我们需要发个财，实现财务自由（喷泉语），然后就有空不上班一遍遍去折腾这些啦（手动狗头）

bitter end未必是苦涩的结局，而是历经艰难后的结局。这里bitter意思是帆船上系缆绳的柱子，bitter end本意是缆绳的末端，所以跟苦涩没有直接关系。虽说多数时候都不是什么好结局，但也有用于中性的。本书一共用了9次bitter end，其中就有不少是中性用法，这里也应该如此理解。
当译作“这趟远征即便历经磨难到了结局，也可能落得徒劳一场。”
